This site is mentioned several times in the Bible, and in the book Onomasticon by Bishop Eusebius (Eus. On. 40:20-24 and 120:8-10), and also in the writings of many travelers who visited this region, as well as the early Church Fathers.
Bethel / Luz is now known as Betin (Betin) (Cord. 172 – 148), where it was known in ancient times as “Luz” and is located on the road linking Jerusalem (Jerusalem) and Nablus.
