It was mentioned in the First Book of Maccabees and was also mentioned by Bishop Eusebius in his book (Antiques 8:6:4 page 203) and in (Esu. On.24: 24 f) where the location was located in the village of B “Hadid” (coord 145 – 152) which is located five km east of the city of Lod.
