Rhinokorura (Rhinokorura) is located near Al-Arish, at the beginning of the Al-Arish Valley, known in the Byzantine period and beyond, and mentioned by Josephus in his book The War of the Jews (Jewish War I:14: 2 page 277);IV: 11: 5 page 662 and also in (Peutinger Plates), the site appears on the map Madaba has two churches with red roofs, as the site has been a bishopric since the fourth century AD It is worth noting that there is an inherited tradition that says that Noah gave blessings to his three sons (Sam, Ham, and Japheth) at this site, and it is believed that one of these churches was dedicated to Noah.

Strabo says (64 BC.M – 24 AD) Al-Arish was once the major trading center for goods from India and Arabia, unloaded at Lucy Com, on the eastern shore of the Red Sea, where they were transported via Petra to Renokolora (Al-Arish). The village of Al-Arish is located near a seasonal river called (Wadi Al-Arish), and it receives its water from central Sinai and is abundant after rain. It is also called “Nahl Misraim”, meaning “River of Egypt” Which is mentioned in the Bible as a sign of the borders of the Promised Land in southwestern Palestine.
