This site dates back to the incident mentioned in the Bible, Numbers (21: 6-9), when God sent snakes upon the children of Israel because of their complaints, and then Moses made the copper serpent according to what God asked of him to heal the people from the bites of these snakes. This area is located in the desert of the China Desert.
