Timayy Al Imdid – Thmuis

Tamna Al-Amdid (Tamwees) (Thmuis) is located southwest of Tanis – San Al-Hajar, mentioned in several Byzantine and other references in advanced times and was an episcopal center since the third century AD, and it was also the center of Saint Phileas, who was the Bishop of Tamwees in the Nile Delta in Egypt. He was martyred in 306 AD during the persecution of Christians during the reign of the Roman Emperor Diocletian. Honored in the Eastern Orthodox and Roman Catholic churches. His feast day is celebrated on February 4th.

The site appears on the map of Madaba as a building that had two towers with two entrances and the building had red tiles.
