Zacharias

The Bible does not mention any place or location called the House of Zechariah, but the names of known people are mentioned in it. As for the location of the House of Zechariah, it is mentioned in many Christian writings, and its location is identified as the location of Zechariah (coord. 144 – 124) It is about 12 km north of Beit Jibrin (Eleutheropolis).

The site appears on the map of Madaba and has a large dome surrounded by walls with three towers and in a mountainous area and is now known as (Tall Zechariah), and perhaps it is “Aziqa” (Aseka) mentioned in the Bible several times and mentioned by Bishop Eusebius in his book Onomasticon (On. 18:10-12)
